JUST FOR MY RECORD

The spot where it started around 5.14 pm

Just for my record. Yesterday was the worst traffic jam ever.
I was from school at 4.35 pm. I had my smooth driving until about 12 km from home. Meaning I already drove 30 km without any problem.
It was somewhere near that Temple - it started there. I was stuck from about 5.14pm. I hadly move one km until past 7.00. Nearly two hours I didn't move. By about 7.30 pm I felt like passing but I just couldn't stop anywhere. I felt so stupid crying when he phoned me where was I because we were invited for dinner. A friend called but my phone was out of battery.
Finally I reached home by about 8.15 pm. At that time Isya' was already recited.
That 42 km cost me more than four hours.
I felt my legs ache. Blessed me.

NOW

First Case
Last Saturday, one of the boys got critically injured and warded in ICU Sungai Buluh Hospital because of miscommunication in Rawang Cyber cafe. It became the frontpage headline in Harian Metro last Tuesday.

Two of the form five boys involved in an accident with another motorcyclist hitting right angles with one another. The other motorcylist felt down and was thrown to the other side of the road and hit by another car that passed by. The man died on the spot. That happened last Friday after Jumaat prayer.
Third Case
I just can't text it down here.

TAIPING

I was here from 1968 (Remove Class) until 1971 (Form 3) - SMK Sri Kota Taiping. In the old days known as Lower Secondary Girls' School Taiping.
Is this the house we stayed in Salerno Line ? I just can't remember, there are no many blocks which look the same and on top of it I don't have a good memory.

I was not born in Taiping but I always feel Taiping is my hometown. I stayed there since my childhood days sometime in 1965. I am trying to recall my own history now.

First we stayed in Kampong Jana ? Kampong Pinang ? I couldn't differentiate the two where they are until now. I just can't remember how short the duration of the stay but it was hardly a month. It was a small rented wooden house but because we were young, we destroyed the owner planted plants - whatever they were. We were told that was the main reason why we moved to another wooden rented house in Lorong Lembah Kampong Jana ? Kampong Pinang ?

This second house was actually near school - Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Kamunting - as it was known back then. Now it is called Sekolah Kebangsaan Long Jaafar, Kamunting. At that time our youngest sister is Mak Yan. The other five younger brothers are not in the scene yet. I can't remember how long we stayed in this second house but we really like it here because it was near school and we love cycled the whole neighbourhood to get back to the house using different routes.

May be by 1966 (may be) we moved to the army barrack in Danero Line in Kamunting Klian Pauh. Ours was the last block, so it was quite far walking to the nearest bus stop on the main road. I remembered there were eight houses in our block, ours was number four. It was quite a distance to walk to the bus stop to get the bus to school. Back then there was no school bus, we had to take the usual public transport provided. The bus then stopped at the last bus stop near the small Kamunting Police Station. We had to walk again to get to school. Back then I remembered we seldom got late for school. And we got back before three.

And again I didn't remember how long we stayed in Danero Line but it was when I was in Standard 5 and 6 and through my secondary school - Remove Class, Form 1, 2 and 3. May be.

My school then was known as Lower Secondary Girl School Taiping. At first it was placed in Sekolah Rendah Convent Klian Pauh Kamunting as it has no building of its own. Then we had our own which is just side by side to Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Doktor Burhanuddin, Taiping in Kampong Boyan. We transferred to our own new block in 1968 - I am sure about the year. It was just a girls' school then now it is known as Sekolah Menengah kebangsaan Seri Kota a coed school. I really love the school. I polished my English in that school. Thanks to my English teacher, from Remove to Form 1 and Form 2 - Miss janet Ooi.

Now at about I was in Form 3 (1971), we again moved to Salerno Line another army quarters. It is not so far from Danero Line, may be about five km. This house was near the main road but we were not long. May be until I did my Form 6, I really can't recall when we moved to our own house in Kampong Baru - my parents house now.

Now the house is deserted because my mother had passed away on 18 January 2004 and then my father moved to Kangar. He must has his dialysis thrice a week and no one is near enough the dialysis centre besides Kamunting. The house now is used to get our family together for Hari Raya, may be a few other occasions. I stayed there when we don't have a place for the roof when we visited Ucin during his matrix days in 2006 and 2007.
This is just for my own record.
